Pa-Hay-Okee The Land of Grassy Water: A Conversation with artists Deborah Mitchell, Jenna Efrein, Christina Pettersson, and Organizing Representative for the local Sierra Club Chapter, Diana Umpierre.
Join us on April 14th for a lively conversation with three of the artists participating in our latest exhibition, Pa-Hay-Okee: the land of ‘grassy water’, Deborah Mitchell, Jenna Efrein, and Christina Pettersson.
They will share with us what drives them to use their creative skills to communicate the beauty of the natural environment that surrounds us and the urgency to preserve and restore it. Our fourth speaker, Diana Umpierre, will bring an activist perspective to the conversation through her role as Organizing Representative for the local Sierra Club Chapter.
The conversation will be moderated by Ombretta Agró Andruff, ARTSail Executive Director and the curator of our current exhibition.
We encourage our attendees to stay for the opening reception of the Pa-Hay-Okee exhibition following this discussion, running from 7 pm to 9 pm.
